Wild West lives up to its name!

Wild West lives up to its name!

Post by Rooster on Sat May 10, 2014 9:12 pm

Well Well, the pumpkin parade today surely was a treat to behold.

Firstly, Smoker decided that there was insufficient fuel storage space in his tank, and therefore decided to allocate about a litre of the stuff into the bowels of his engine - flooding of this magnitude has not been witnessed since the tsunami's.

All the kings horses and all the kings men, could not get the pumpkin started again.... except for TC's wife whom I hear got it going on the first kick when he got home!  Razz

A reminder to ALL of us as to why a bike has a off setting on the tap - Sorry you had a KAK one Smoker, I'm sure well have better luck next time buddy!

Astrid decided to fly her dragon! She did us all mightily proud - my last words before the incident was something akin to if your going to fall, do it bloody properly, and not by wobbling around.

She did not disappoint, I assure you! There's about a liter of brand new KTM oil on the blue route for anyone that's a bit short, just look a meter after the clutch cover pieces. No biggie, nothing a bit of metal weld cant cure, and perhaps a nice Acerbi's protector.

It was most impressive watching a dazed Astrid riding her bike back to the pits with no engine, no gearbox, and no rear brake lever. Big up!!!!!

Yogi is just god damn annoying - gets on the damn bike, and proceeds to clock a sub 25 min Blue on HIS FIRST DAY!!! Schweeet!!

Toohtless had his first blue - on a KX65!!

As for the O'l rooster, lets just day I am actualy taking a day off - hanging up my feathers and comb just for one day.

I dont think theres a bone, joint ligament or muscle that isnt either bruised, swolen, battered or just plain eina - I dont think there has been a single non working day I have not ridden for 3 months, so more sit ek op my gat.

Thanks Pumpketeers, I had an awesome day.

Flew she did indeed! I think she tried to keep up with me. Lol

Had a proper fall, but I'm ready to ride again. Nothing broken except the clutch unit and cover.  Sad  Will take a pic when I'm less heart sore about it...

Yogi, you were awesome indeed.  Thanks for taking care of Toothless on the loop. He had great fun. Very proud of my little big boy too.

Smoker, I think you rigged your bike.  Razz Gatecrasher said you'll be scared. Didn't realize it was that bad. J/k, sorry man. Next time we'll do it together.

Thanks guys, next time I will also get my blue bird. Just need to work on my rocky descends a bit.

Lol Gatecrasher. I know Smoker rode yesterday. Not sure where though.

And thanks. My poor baby. Got some protection for her now. Hopefully it will help.

No-one mentioned Hippo so I take it he was either riding like a pro or he didn't join you guys.
I am busy chatting to him right now on WA and he tells me that 2T is the way. Considering we started out together
on the same bikes.....

2T is definitely better. Especially if you'd like to do the Red route one day .....

I stand strong for the thumper, boorhaaa, but I will say having a light weight 2T would also be nice, but only the newer ones have the happy button and they are pretty pricey

I agree Yogi, very pricey.

It's a great investment though. I try and think of it this way: Stormfly should last until and beyond when Toothless can ride her one day and I'm sure Rooster will give her a go a few times. She'll stay with us forever.
